Press Club of Jamshedpur

There is definitely some reason behind the formation and establishment of any organization. Without reason and need, neither do people come together nor do they form an organization. Some such big reason came before the journalists working in the field of journalism in Jamshedpur in the year 2006, who felt the need to form a journalist organization.
Who felt the need to form a journalist organization. In 2006, the incident of misbehavior with a journalist during coverage had shocked the journalists of Jamshedpur. Journalists came out on protest demanding justice for the journalist victimized by the incident, at the same time it was realized that the fight will not go on like this, and how long will it continue?
This was the time when the journalists of the city decided that their own organization of journalists would be formed in Jamshedpur also. After that, on 23 December 2006, an organization named Press Club of Jamshedpur was formed. Journalist Brajesh Singh, working in Prabhat Khabar, was unanimously nominated as the first president of the club. Other people in the organization were also given responsibility. Currently there are 233 members in the club. This includes life and associate members.
Presently the club is being run under the leadership of President Sanjeev Bhardwaj and the entire team selected through the electoral process.
